Snapchat's My AI chatbot is powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology. It is currently only available to Snapchat+ subscribers, but Snap CEO Evan Spiegel has said that the company expects to make it available to all users in the future. In addition to offering users a chatbot experience inside the app, My AI is also highly customizable, allowing users to personalize it by giving it a unique name and choosing a custom wallpaper for their chat.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY
To access My AI, Snapchat users will need to subscribe to the Snapchat+ service that costs $3.99 per month. As explained by Snapchat, My AI will be turned on by default for all Snapchat+ subscribers, and can be found on the chat screen. Users will have to swipe right from the Camera screen to open the Chat section and try it out. The chatbot has a number of skills, including the ability to recommend birthday gift ideas, plan hiking trips for the weekends, suggest recipes for dinner, write poems, and more.

Fixes For Snapchat My AI Not Working
Snapchat users who cannot access the My AI chatbot need to check a few things to see if they can get it to work. The first thing, obviously, is to ensure that they are subscribed to Snapchat+. If the feature isn't working despite being a Snapchat+ subscriber, make sure to update the app from the Play Store or the App Store. If it remains unavailable even after the update, it is likely a simple software glitch that can be easily solved with a restart. To do this, clear it out from the memory and launch it again to see whether the feature is now available.
If restarting the app doesn't work, try clearing out the app cache. The process to do that, however, will vary based on whether it's an iPhone or an Android. On an iPhone, go to device settings, select 'Snapchat' and hit 'Clear Cache.' Now restart the app to check if My AI is available. On Android, long-press on the app icon on the home screen or app drawer, and then tap on the 'i' in the pop-up menu. From there, go to 'Storage & cache' (or something similar) and then select 'Clear cache' on the next page. Now restart the app.
In the unlikely event that none of the aforementioned solutions work, contact Snapchat support to see if they can help with the problem. Snapchat says that My AI is currently available for all Snapchat+ subscribers, so it should be working for anyone with an active subscription. For people who can't get the new Snapchat feature to work, it can likely be fixed by at least one of the troubleshooting tips mentioned above.
