Murder Manual is the latest release from Ammo Content and Hewes Productions. It promises a nightmarish story that disrupts common horror anthology tropes while capturing a diverse array of classic creatures such as zombies, masked slashers, and even paranormal entities of biblical proportions. Each story in Murder Manual is not structurally disconnected like other popular, anthology films such as V/H/S (2012), The ABC’s Of Death, and even classics like Creepshow, as here, the stories combine to create a cohesive final product. In doing so, they are better able to captivate the audience as an anthological feature film which engulfs the viewer in nonstop horror. Where some anthologies suffer is in their inability to keep the audience captivated, but Murder Manual seems poised to keep the viewer’s attention from beginning to end.
